Just heard this morning that sixty percent of all solar installations in the US are in California, and the majority of those are in the northern half of the state.
Just so happens that last Thursday, PG&E flipped the switch on our new solar panels at the winery. We just installed two new systems - one set of panels now provides 60% of the winery power. We even pulled out some killer 667 Pinot to make room. That is commitment. But the second system is even more super cool. The panels float on our irrigation pond, and generate 100% of the power to our water recycling system.
Seeing that meter spin backwards is pretty exciting. The air on Rhinefarm seems fresher than ever.
