Processors Intel Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K and Core i5-9600K tested in Geekbench

The results of testing the performance of three Intel Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K and Core i5-9600K processors, which should be announced take place on October 1, hit the base Geekbench. Tests, albeit synthetic, show what can be expected from the new high-performance chips.

All processors seem to have been tested at very high nominal frequencies. Here we see that, despite the absence of any architectural improvements, the new Intel solutions really help to improve performance in games, multitasking processes and other workloads. The flagship Core i9-9900K processor (8 cores / 16 streams, 3.6 / 5.0 GHz) scored 6248 points in single-threaded mode and 33037 points when all eight cores were used. This is one of the highest results on LGA 1151, and none of the representatives of Ryzen has approached it yet. The Core i9-9900K was tested on the motherboard ASUS ROG Maximus X HERO with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM.

Core i7-9700K (8 cores / 8 threads, 3.6 / 4.9 GHz) scored 6297 points in the test in a single-core and 30152 points in multi-core mode. The testbed was made by the Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming motherboard. Compared to the Ryzen 7 2700X, the Intel chip proved to be much faster in single-core loads, although the Ryzen 2700X had a total of 8 cores / 16 threads.

The younger in the lineup Core i5-9600K processor (6 cores / 6 threads, 3.7 / 4.6 GHz), which was also tested in a similar configuration, like Core i7-9700K, scored 6027 and 23472 points in single-threaded and multithreaded modes, respectively. Again, we see that with the use of one core, the results are approximately the same as those of the first two chips. Overall, there is a good performance gain compared to the i5-8600K.

The specifications for the upcoming processors are already known. Formally, they only had to confirm them, to name the prices and timing of the release of new chips.
